CINEMARK TO BUILD STADIUM-SEATED, 14-SCREEN THEATRE IN CEDAR HILL, TEXAS

Plano, TX July, 2003 - A 14-screen all stadium-seating theatre will be built by Cinemark USA, Inc. on land the company is purchasing in the Cedar Hill Town Square located near the intersection of Highway 67and Belt Line Rd. in Cedar Hill, Texas. Cinemark will be the entertainment destination within the Square along with retailer JCPenney, and Ultimate Electronics. The theatre is expected to open in the fall of 2004.

"Getting the state-of-the-art theatre committed to this site fulfills the needs of the residents of this area," said Frank Mihalopoulos, developer of the Cedar Hill Town Square. "It complements future plans for the Cedar Hill City Hall, the new JCPenney department store and existing and planned retail."

The Cinemark 14 will offer stadium seating, digital sound, advance ticketing over the internet, and concession stands providing hot popcorn, Coca-Cola fountain drinks and candy. The theatre's design will be reminiscent of the golden age of Hollywood with an art-deco color scheme of muted red, gold and bronze.

The stadium seating at Cinemark 14 will allow patrons to enjoy unobstructed views from plush, high-backed seats featuring an increased height difference between each row as compared to traditional sloped auditorium seating. Spacing of 48-inches between each aisle will give movie-goers more leg room and ample space to enter and exit their row without disturbing other guests.

Patrons of Cinemark 14 will be able to forgo the box office by using Cinemark's on-line ticketing which allows advance ticket purchases over the Internet at Cinemark.com. Utilizing on-line ticketing, customers can be guaranteed to have a ticket to Hollywood blockbusters.
